April 3-4 WV AAUW STATE CONVENTION, Bridgeport. At the Holiday Inn, Barbara Tedford, Elkins, was elected President for 2008-2010, Mary Kay Bidlack, Elkins branch, Membership Vice President for 2008-2010, Karen Coleman, Member-at-Large, Nominating Committee Chair for 2008-2009, and Nominating Committee Members Mary Sue Eldridge, Shepherdstown and Sandra Woods, Fairmont. Foot-in-the-Door Mini Grants is a state project which offers up to $100 to high school senior to attend college, preference is given to students who are first in their family to seek a college education. The application form and information may be downloaded here.
Summer Conference is scheduled at The Holiday Inn, Bridgeport, July 12, 2008. Registration Deadline is July 7, Fee of $20 includes lunch, meeting room and supplies. Each branch is asked to bring an item valued between $10 and $15 for a Silent Auction to raise money for the Foot-in-the-Door Mini-Grants.
